Standing in the way of the World number one and defending champ is 25-year-old Matteo Berrettini.

The first Italian to reach the Men's Singles Final at the All England Club, Berrettini has lost just three sets en route to today's match, booking his place in today's showpiece finale with a 6-3 6-0 6-7 (3-7) 6-4 win over Poland's Hubert Hurkacz on Friday.

Djokovic remains on course for a sixth Wimbledon crown and his third in a row after fighting off the challenge of young Canadian Denis Shapovalov, with the 34-year-old earning a hard-fought 7-6 (7-3) 7-5 7-5 victory.

The two finalists have faced each other on two previous occasions, with Djokovic winning both match-ups, the most recent encounter coming in the quarter-finals at Roland Garros last month which saw the Serbian win within four sets on his way to claiming this year's French Open title.
