Elon Musk mocks Mark Zuckerberg, again, bets $1 billion to change Facebook’s name to THIS

In his newfound trolling pattern of requesting organisations to change their names to something silly and embarrassing, Tesla CEO Elon Musk has extended an offer of $1 billion to Mark Zuckerberg, the proprietor of Meta, in exchange for rebranding Facebook.

Musk’s unconventional proposal comes in response to a satirical article by the parody news outlet BabylonBee, which humorously attributed to Musk the very same offer of $1 billion to Zuckerberg for a Facebook name alteration. The alteration in question? Changing Facebook’s name to Faceb**b.

While implicitly acknowledging the proposed idea, Musk claimed that a name change would be a significant improvement for the social media giant.

This is not the first instance of tension between these two titans of the tech industry. Earlier this year, there was a buzz on the internet about a potential face-off between Zuckerberg and Musk, akin to a cage match.

Nevertheless, as of today, this much-anticipated showdown has yet to materialize. Zuckerberg, in a post on Threads, cast doubts on Musk’s seriousness about the purported battle.

Musk promptly responded to Zuckerberg’s scepticism during an interview with Joe Rogan, as reported by TMZ. He asserted, “[Zuckerberg] accused me of not being serious, and I said, ‘Listen, at the end of the day, I’ll face you under any circumstances, anywhere, and under any rules.”

The billionaire magnate also disclosed that Italy had expressed willingness to host their duel at the historic Coliseum. Musk revealed, “Italy actually offered us the use of the Coliseum.”

He added, “I thought it was a great opportunity, but I also wanted to maintain the Coliseum’s historical significance. We didn’t want it to be plastered with excessive branding like NASCAR. However, Zuckerberg ultimately declined.”

In a previous unconventional gesture, Musk had made an “in the interests of accuracy” appeal to Wikipedia. He pledged to donate a staggering $1 billion to the online encyclopedia if it agreed to change its name to ‘D**kipedia.’ Musk’s condition stipulated that this name alteration must endure for a minimum of one year.
